PhD student in Peking University

I am Cheng Yu, a Ph.D student from the School of Intelligence Science and Technology at Peking University, China. I am advised by Prof. Mengyu Chu in Visual Computing and Learning Lab. Earlier, I got my Bachelor’s degree from the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science at Peking University in July 2024.

My research interests lie in Computer Graphics, especially in Physics-Based Animation. I am particularly interested in contact phenomena, including collision, contact, and friction modeling, and in developing methods that improve their robustness and efficiency. I aim to design algorithms that balance stability, realism, and computational efficiency, enabling their application in interactive graphics, virtual reality, and digital content creation.
